As you are preparing for 2020 you may be tempted to look back at 2019 with regret. In doing so, you begin to despair of all the things you did not get done. So, you decide 2020 will be a good year to rollover what you didn’t get accomplished last year into the coming year. But it won’t be long into the year your roll over plan will be forgotten.

It’s possible, you have been on a rollover plan for years, perhaps even decades.

Wherefore seeing we also are compassed about with so great a cloud of witnesses, let us lay aside every weight, and the sin which doth so easily beset us, and let us run with patience the race that is set before us,  Looking unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is set down at the right hand of the throne of God.  Hebrews 12:1-2

No Roll Over Plan

This year when you begin preparing for 2020, I want to encourage you to stop looking at your losses and stop making rollover promises. I also want you to forget about adding new ones. Rather begin this coming year by looking to Jesus.

The race is on and spending endless hours of what could have been or daydreaming of what could be must be set aside as weights. It’s one thing to evaluate your life it is another to let your life stagnate you.

All sin, known or unknown must be set aside. Your chief aim for 2020 is Jesus Christ.

Confess ALL Sin

Yes, I did say set aside every known and unknown sin.

How?

By confessing and being willing for God to expose you. Believe me, He will let you know about unknown sin. Just be willing to allow Him expose unknown sin and confess it immediately. He is faithful and just to forgive you of ALL your unrighteousness.

Preparing for 2020

When Christ is your aim and He is probing your life, no matter what you do (either examine the past or look to the future) He will guide you from His perspective in preparing for 2020.

In the coming week I want to share some practical things that I apply in my own life to prepare for the coming year. This is something I have done since 2014 and my life in Christ has never been the same and continues to grow. I pray that the things I share concerning my faith journey will be an encouragement to you as you are preparing for 2020.

To GOD be ALL the GLORY

In His hands,
