How often do you wonder what is God’s will in your life?

Sophia from Divine Appointment LWH series Book 4 loves to solve mysteries.

And of course, a little of the author is in this character. I desire to know the will of God but often it can be quite a mystery.

It is not like God laid out your life before you with all the necessary details, or did He?

God’s Will is a Mystery

Sometimes I’ve heard folks speak of God’s will being a mystery and that we cannot know everything. But that we should trust God.

I have a curious mind and one that pushes the limits. So, I ask, “Why I can’t we know?” Better yet, I turn to God and ask what is your will and why don’t you want me to know?

Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you: For every one that asketh receiveth; and he that seeketh findeth; and to him that knocketh it shall be opened. Matthew 7:7-8

Matthew dispels the second part of my question because God is willing that I should know. So that leaves me with, “Lord, what is your will?”

The Mystery of God’s Will – REVEALED

There are various scriptures where you can see God’s will revealed. Scriptures like 1 Thessalonians 5:18:
In every thing give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

One practice God has encouraged me in is to be grateful. To take a moment in my quietness and stillness to be thankful. What a blessing to begin with thanksgiving. This is especially beneficiary before tackling your daily to do list or rushing out into a busy world.

But in Thessalonian 5:18 I want us to look at a hidden gem of the mystery of His will—in Christ Jesus.

Christ Jesus, written in plain sight for you. Yet how we miss this important fact about His will. And how, as God’s child, I missed it for so long.

After the loss of James Anthony in 2013 followed by depression I was desperate. By Christmas of 2013 I discovered a desire to die to self. Not in taking my life, but in my life no longer mine to run. This was after listening to Abigail Miller song Have you died, I wanted God’s will in my life.

In Christ – UNFOLDS the Mystery of God’s Will

My focus for the past six years has been the love of God. Especially our intimate relationship with Jesus Christ.

For months I have been studying Ephesians. And one of the reasons for beginning my study was because of a verse found in chapter 5.

This is a great mystery: but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Ephesians 5:32

Well, not only do we have a mystery here, but we have a great mystery!

Ephesians 5:32 was in the context of a husband and wife relationship. A love story if you will, and one I wanted to know more about. I decided to learn more by saturating from beginning to the end in Ephesians.

What incredible truths IN CHRIST I have discovered! Revealing the mystery of God’s will! And these very truths are available to you.

O the depth of the riches both of the wisdom and knowledge of God! how unsearchable are his judgments, and his ways past finding out! Romans 11:33
